Whether you come by boat, plane, or a mix of both, the road here slows you down — and begins to shift your pace even before you arrive. Don’t worry: we’ll guide you through every step.
The scenic and affordable route.
Ideal if you’re traveling with time and want to soak in the journey.
→ Take the Tracopa bus at 8:30 a.m. from the main terminal in San José.
→ Book in advance via the Passer app (iOS/Android).
→ Duration: ~6.5 hours.
→ Take the public boat (“colectivo”) at 4:00 p.m. from Don Jorge’s dock.
→ Boat ride lasts 1 hour through scenic mangroves.
→ Cost: ~$20 (pay on site).
